On Saturday, Nov. 13, Diane DuBos, Vicki Esbensen, Anne Hunt and Monica Condomitti, agents affiliated with the Scottsdale at 101 office of Coldwell Banker Realty, helped raise $920 for Almost There Rescue, a mom and pups rescue specializing in saving the lives of large breed, pregnant and nursing dogs, at their Ginger Desert Dog Event, which was part of Coldwell Banker Realty’s Homes for Dogs Campaign, within the gated community of Tonto Verde and Rio Verde. The event was co-sponsored by The Happy Dog Inn, AZ Dog Sports and Heather Farris of Lux-struck Creative Imaging, who volunteered to take photos at the event.
“Our Ginger Desert Dog Event was born from the memory of rescuing a lost dog in the desert and bringing her home sixteen years ago. Now nearly 17 years old, my dog, Ginger, is still here with me and going for daily walks where she gets to see many of her neighbors and friends,” said Esbensen. “We are grateful to everyone who participated and supported our beneficiary, Almost There Rescue, and our co-sponsors who helped make this a great event.”
At the event, attendees were able to participate in a two-mile hike in McDowell Regional Park, scavenger hunt and fun quiz. The following opportunity drawings awards were presented: a six-class package for AZ Dog Sports, adult dog adoption fee waiver for Almost There Rescue, two-night stay for one dog at The Happy Dog Inn, Rattlesnake Ready training certificate, ‘I Love My Rescue’ socks, photo treat, frisbee, cinnamon/pineapple tequila and four various bottles of wine.
