Prior to working in real estate, she was the vice principal and an AP teacher at a private school. Before that, she was the managing editor of a monthly helicopter pilot magazine. She also working in the healthcare software field for 15 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, Master of Science in technical communication and Master of Education. Active in her community, she has served on the boards of Arts Express, a children's arts education company, Institute for Better Education, tax credits for private schools, and Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, where she served as president and chairperson of their largest fundraising event for 15 years.
