From 1997 to 2014, she was a mortgage banker loan originator. She has been a licensed real estate agent in Georgia since 2008. For five years, she co-owned a RE/MAX franchise with her late husband in North Georgia. Between 2009 and 2020, she helped develop 240 acres into 35 lots in Southern Colorado. Before working in real estate, she was an executive director for Childhood Autism and Diagnostic Foundation (CADEF) in Georgia where they opened the first R&D department for Autism at Emory University.
