Coldwell Banker Bain wowed its affiliate real estate brokers with 250 custom record albums at the most recent awards celebration at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP). The brainchild of Scott Hannaman, marketing director at Coldwell Banker Bain, the records were all designed and created by Hannaman with the help of AI. After generating high-resolution AI images from the brokers’ professional headshots, he made an album cover template in InDesign, produced the covers and sent the final versions to CoreFact for printing. Each album contained a vinyl record pressed in Europe with 10 songs written and composed by AI under the direction of Hannaman and one song, “There’s No Place Like Home,” by Randy Bragdon, marketing director at Coldwell Banker Realty for the West Region. To properly display the albums, he designed a stand that could hold 10 records, built 25 stands out of PVC fittings from Home Depot and painted them.
“It was priceless to see how the brokers reacted. They were like little kids running from cover to cover, and the overall vibe was awesomeness!” said Hannaman. “I have spent most of my life as a professional creative and three to four years ago this wouldn’t have been financially feasible with our budget. All of the above was accomplished for less than $6,000 and a lot of my time.”
Using 3D software and a lot of help from AI, Hannaman designed and 3D printed the table centerpieces. The centerpieces were the album covers printed and then used in CD Jewel cases, which included the QR code to the playlists on each centerpiece. He also used AI to animate the images of Bragdon and stock video to create a music video for his original song, “There’s No Place Like Home,” which was played on MoPOP’s gigantic screen in the Sky Church, which was inspired by Jimi Hendrix. Hannaman also used AI to clean up and organize the awards-winner spreadsheet, imported that data into Marketing Center and generated all of the award’s slides using only one template created in InDesign for the awards PowerPoint. The entire process was done by Hannaman, except Bragdon’s original song.
