David Stout has affiliated with the Portland office of Coldwell Banker Bain as a real estate broker. Previously, he was an agent with Lovejoy Real Estate. Before working in real estate, he was a project manager, business analyst and technical writer in the pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturing and utilities industries for over 20 years. After attending Indiana University for two years, he transferred to Anderson University in South Carolina where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He also has an associate degree in computer electronics from Tampa Tech. An avid table tennis player, Stout attended Anderson University because it had the top college table tennis team at that time and even spent a week as a volunteer for table tennis at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
“I've been around real estate all my life. My father owned his own real estate company in Kokomo, Indiana, for more than 20 years, and when we moved to Sarasota, Florida, he joined my cousin's real estate company. My mother was also a realtor, and many of my cousins as well. My father was also president of the realtor's association in Kokomo as I was growing up,” said Stout. “I chose to affiliate with Coldwell Banker Bain after I met Joseph Charny, a senior broker, at a local table tennis club.”
