On Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29, 23 offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Arizona partnered with local animal shelters and hosted successful pet adoption and/or donation drive events for National “Homes for Dogs” Adoption Weekend. They joined hundreds of Coldwell Banker offices and animal shelters around the country for the Coldwell Banker “Homes for Dogs” National Adoption Weekend.
“We had a great National Homes for Dogs Adoption Weekend with 53 pets finding new homes and more than $8,000 raised for local animal rescues,” said Greg Hollman, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Arizona. “Thanks to our generous communities, our offices were also able to collect donations of food, pet supplies, blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, bleach, pet beds and toys for the animal rescues.”
During National Homes for Dogs Adoption Weekend, the Biltmore-Paradise Valley, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Green Valley, Lake Havasu, Oro Valley/Marana, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Scottsdale at 101, Scottsdale at Pinnacle Park, Scottsdale Carefree, Sedona, Southwest, Tempe-Ahwatukee, Tucson/Foothills, Tucson/Williams Centre, Village of Oak Creek offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage hosted dog adoption and donation drive events in partnership with local animal rescues, including Animal League of Green Valley, AZ Small Dog, Empty Bowls, Home Fur Good, Hope Animal Shelter, Humane Society of Southern Arizona, Lifeline Oro Valley Animal Rescue, Lil Bit of Love, Lost Of Homes Of Tempe, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control East Valley Animal Shelter, Puppy Luv, Rescue Pals, Sedona Humane Society, Sky Sanctuary Rescue, United Animal Friends and Western Arizona Humane Society.
During the month of September, the Mesa-Gilbert, North Scottsdale, Phoenix Metro, Sun City Bell, Sun City Surprise, Sun City Grand and Sun City West offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage hosted donation drives for local animal shelters, including Animal Rescue Friends, Arizona Animal Welfare League and SCPA, Empty Bowls, Maricopa County Animal Control, Rescue Pals and Valley of Sun Dog Rescue.
The nationwide adoption weekend is part of the “Homes for Dogs Project,” a three-year campaign launched by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America's largest non-profit pet adoption website. The organization has already helped to facilitate more than 20,000 adoptions.
