Kay Farish, an affiliate agent with the Huntington Beach office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and Andi Buerger have co-authored “A Fragile Thread of Hope,” a book about Buerger and four homeless and human trafficking victims.
“It was my great privilege to co-write this book about Andi and the girls. Each story was personally recounted to me, and I know the hopeful continuing stories of all five amazing women,” said Farish. “Andi is active in the fight against child trafficking and will be speaking at the U.S. Capitol in D.C. in November, and a portion of the proceeds of each book will be used for the girls whose stories are told and for the larger purpose of combating trafficking here and abroad.”
“A Fragile Thread of Hope” is about how Buerger rescued four homeless and trafficked teens from the streets and gave them a haven and the possibility of a brand new start. Her story of childhood abuse is interwoven into the stories of the four young women whose lives have been changed for the better by her intervention.
