On Dec. 7 and 8, affiliate agents and staff with the Encinitas/La Costa office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage stood outside five local grocery stores to collect food and toy donations for the Community Resource Center’s (CRC) 2019 Holiday Baskets event. In addition to approximately 95 baskets of non-perishable food collections, the Encinitas office also collected 31 bikes, approximately 500 toys, coats, blankets and infant items for the event.
“Our affiliate agents and staff truly committed themselves to make a difference for multiple families in our community by giving up their weekend to collect donations of food, toys and other items,” said Brian Freeman, branch manager of the Encinitas/La Costa office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “Thanks in part to our donations, each family at the Holiday Basket event will be able to fill a shopping cart with jackets, blankets, books, baby items and toys based on what they need during this time of year.”
Every year, CRC collects donations to put together Holiday Baskets for more than 6,000 local low-income individuals. The Holiday Baskets will be distributed from Friday, Dec. 13 to Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Grandstand.
