Elena Mosaner, MS and certified hypnotherapist, ICF certified coach, author, and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), is offering a free one-hour intensive live hypnotherapy grief workshop on how to discover a better you through accepting the loss of your pre-COVID life on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Zoom.
“This workshop is designed to help participants get unstuck and move on from the life they enjoyed before the unplanned shift to the current limited COVID-19 way of life,” said Mosaner. “This lifestyle change came upon us abruptly, and we lost the way of life we once knew, and it doesn’t seem like it will come back exactly as it was before. Most of don’t realize it, but we are going through a collective grief experience.”
As a result of the current pandemic, people across the world now have a shared experience of isolation, lockdown, fear of disease and loss of some kind. Businesses continue to close, leaving many unemployed, and the future of athletic events, yoga studios, trendy restaurants, concerts and movie theaters remains unknown. Due to social distancing measures, even social life and especially dating is completely different now.
“Collectively and simultaneously, knowingly or unknowingly, we are going through the process of grieving over the life we once had,” said Mosaner. “The theory of the five stages of grief, developed by the Swiss American psychiatrist Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, includes denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. They are important to understand and become aware of in order to know where you are in your grieving cycle so that ultimately you may move to the last stage: acceptance. In this final stage, true healing, growth, expansion and transformation into a new and better you happens!”
In this 90-minute hypnotherapy workshop, Mosaner will teach participants how to recognize what is holding them back, how to release it and how to jump-start a new lifeline with the power of open-ended questioning, imagination and piercing hypnotic focus.
“It’s important to understand what new values you are generating as one phase ends so that we can make way for new life to begin. For many of us, it’s key to upgrade these values in order to fit the changing world and narrative. In the same way companies are becoming more socially conscious, we as individuals need to find within us new values to fit the world’s new trajectory,” explains Mosaner. “The exercises in this workshop help participants discover these values and lessons.”
Participants will learn:
-Three self-hypnosis techniques to reduce stress, overcome fear and learn to relax their mind
-How to design and ask open-ended questions to receive a powerful inner insight
-A four-step adult learning cycle to help identify lessons from a life-changing event like the current pandemic
They will experience:
-A group self-hypnosis meditation session to overcome blocks and jump start a new life chapter
-Deep relaxation to reduce stress and ignite imagination
