Sonia Cabrera and Dennise Rodriguez have left Compass to associate with the Sherman Oaks office of Coldwell Banker Realty as affiliate agents. The mother-daughter team has a combined 20 years of real estate experience.

Both fluent in Spanish, Cabrera graduated from Fillips Jr. College, where she studied business administration and computer science, and Rodriguez holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from California State University, Long Beach. Passionate about helping others, they both volunteer and mentor teen girls at Valor Academy Middle School once a month, and this past December, they volunteered at MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity) in Pacoima, assisting families with Christmas gifts for their children. Formerly a social worker and case manager, Cabrera has also volunteered for a domestic abuse center.
“Real estate has been in my life since my teens when my mom started,” said Rodriguez. “I began helping her with simple paperwork, later as a transaction coordinator, and after college, I realized I needed to take advantage of the knowledge I had in real estate and apply it, so I went for my license and have not regretted it.”
