Rosemary Allison, a Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Property Specialist affiliated with the Westlake Village Regional office of Coldwell Banker Realty, has been named Woman of the Year by Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin of California’s District 44. The annual Woman of the Year celebration is sponsored every year by the California Legislative Women’s Caucus as part of Women’s History Month.
"I am flattered to receive this honor and be placed in such distinguished ranks as those of the past honorees,” said Allison. “These women exemplify courage, dedication and a determination to build a better quality of life for our community, helping future generations face the challenges that are put in front of them. I am honored to be working alongside some of the most passionate community advocates and change-makers in California without which none of my goals could have been accomplished. It has always been important to me to set an example for my children, and I want to make sure this world is a better place and show my children that the world can be made better."
Active in her community, Rosemary serves as an elected member of the Santa Rosa Valley Municipal Advisory Council, which oversees community projects like the development of an equestrian and hiking park, new traffic light installations and secured emergency housing for large animals during wildfires. She also took part in creating the Santa Rosa Valley Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), which helps communicate fire updates, sightings of mountain lions and local crime information to the community. Passionate about helping others, she serves on the Board of For The Troops, an organization that sends 2,000 monthly care packages to service members currently deployed, and has also chaired the annual gala at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library for the past three years. With more than three decades of real estate experience, she specializes in marketing residences in the upscale neighborhoods of Santa Rosa Valley, North Ranch, Hidden Valley, Somis, Westlake Village and Camarillo. No stranger to success, she was recognized as one of the Top 250 realtors in the United States by the Wall Street Journal.
“It is a great joy to honor powerful women that are pillars of our community every year,” said Assemblymember Irwin. “Rosemary’s life-long dedication to bringing people together for the greater good has made her an incredible leader in our community. Known for her philanthropy and her business acumen, year after year she has worked to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, Y.M.C.A. and For The Troops; that’s why I’m proud to honor her as the 2020 Woman of the Year.”
